LOOK: Lauren Conrad

It was Lauren's birthday last night on The Hills. Her look was typical of what has been trending since the fall season: simple face and eyes, with a stand-out lip color. Although it seems rather BAM and you may not think you can pull it off, you may be surprised. With just the right products you'll have this look in a matter of minutes - seriously!

I really do believe that this look can be achieved super quickly. When I try to do my eyes up with lots of color, it can take a while to really exaggerate my look. But with this look, all I need to do are my basics and just jump in the car with my lipstick, which I can apply in the mirror anywhere and anytime!

Face (these are basics that I would use no matter what look I'm trying to achieve)
Concealer - Prescriptives Camouflage Cream
Primer - Smashbox Photo Finish
Foundation - Bare Escentuals bareMinerals
Bronzer - NARS in Laguna

I don't think you need blush in this look; you don't want to look like a clown. And if you want to accentuate your cheekbones, try using a little extra bronzer on the apples of your cheeks.

Eyes (the goal here is to look natural)
Primer - Laura Mercier Eye Basics
Eyeshadow - MAC's Ricepaper (it's a neutral base)
Top Liner - Maybelline's Lineworks (liquid liner used to make a winged line will look the sharpest)
Bottom Liner - Prescriptives Softlining Pencil
Mascara - Clinique High Definition Lashes; Sephora Brand Lash Plumper; Cover Girl Professional All-in-One Mascara

Lips (here come the dramatics)
Lipstick - NARS Sephora Flame (semi matte deep red brown)
Lipgloss - Cargo blu_ray High Definition Timestrip Lip Gloss in Laredo (shimmering nude)

Lauren's birthday look is really a simple one that is accentuated by your choice of lip color. Just remember to keep the eyes simple if you're going for dramatic lips; use a neutral gloss on your lips if you're going to accentuate your eyes. It's simple! And hopefully, unlike Lauren, you need not worry about waterproofing in case you cry on your birthday!

Get the Look: My Mom

My mom was going out to a barbecue on Saturday and wanted me to do her makeup for her. Of course I did so -- I love doing makeup!

Since it was an outdoor event during the day, I didn't want to give her anything too crazy and definitely nothing too heavy for her face. When she was there, her friend was in love with her makeup. When my mom told her I had done it for her she said that she wanted to know if I'd do her makeup for her son's wedding. At first I thought this was a joke -- I didn't really do anything too crazy to my mom's face. But when I realized she was serious I was ready for the job. We'll see how it goes.

As for the look - here's what I did:
1. I had my mom apply all of her natural face products - moisturizer, primer, oil control lotion.
2. I primed her eyes with Urban Decay Magic Potion.
3. Her shadow was MAC's Ricepaper as the base and a shade like MAC's Juiced or Goldmine in the corner, as a darker contrast (the one I used has been discontinued).
4. I lined her top and bottom lids with her Cover Girl liner in black.
5. I used her shu uemura curler, Prescriptives primer, Clinique High Definition Lashes, and Bourjois Yes to Volume! No to Clumps! Mascara.
6. We finished the look off with Clinique bronzer and Clinique blush.

Apparently it was a success. A subtle look for the afternoon that had her batting her lashes and finding me some new projects!

LOOK: My friend SEV

Angelina Jolie just had her twins, a boy and a girl, but that doesn't mean that she should let her beauty fall by the wayside. A little tinted moisturizer, colored eyeliner, eyelash primer, mascara, and some blush or bronzer and BAM she's ready to feed the twins! OK, let's be honest, Angelina probably won't be having to feed the twins on her own or worrying about running out of her fave beauty products. But there are lots of us that can use a quick refresher course on how to look natural and get out the door in the morning.

SEV tells us that it only takes her 10 minutes to completely prepare her face in the morning and that includes face washing and moisturizing. Take that out of the equation and you can practically prep your face in the car in about only five minutes (after you've already washed and moisturized of course). And the combo of products she uses are pretty simple:

Neutrogena Summer Glow Moisturizer
Clean and Clear Salicylic Acid Gel
Neutrogena Eye Brightening Cream
Prescriptives Camoflauge Cream
Bobbi Brown's Cream Pot Rouge Blush
Nars Bronzer
shu uemura Eyelash Curler

Sometimes, SEV uses a little eyeshadow, but she says she does this very rarely. In addition she makes it known that it's very important to brush your teeth. We agree.

In addition, SEV uses Blistex LipBalm, mainly because she hates chapped lips. In fact, they actually freak her out a little bit. To counter this problem, she'll use the Blistex or for a little extra the Clinique Lip Balm, which has a sheer color to it. Lips are always good to condition (I'm sure Angelina treats hers well!).

So whether you have a little time, a lot of time, newborn twins, or just don't like to spend a lot of time on your makeup, then find the right routine for you to create your natural face. It may take some time but be sure to try out different products and samples. Remember, products work differently from person to person.

Makeup doesn't have to be time consuming - you can look natural and have fun with your friends and family, while looking great!
